Guest Blog from Hayley – East Cheshire Mumbler and Evie – Harrogate Mumbler
This is such a surreal time…..life is unrecognisable….the whole world has stood still. Imagine in years to come our Great-grandchildren asking us what it was like during lockdown – we’re a history lesson in the making!
We’ve put together a Mumbler Memory Maker for families to document their experiences, to look back at in years to come and share with the kids, grandkids and future generations. It’s a great way for children to record how they felt, with 12 pages packed full of fun things to do and memories to make, including a word search, thoughts and feelings page and some brilliant interview questions!
We’ve also drawn up a Coronavirus Timeline to help remember important events – both worldwide and local events in & around Gateshead – which you can pop in your Memory Maker, Scrapbook or Time Capsule (this may not be suitable for younger children or for those with anxiety over the coronavirus). We’ll do our best to update the Timeline every few weeks as events continue to unfold – or you could use it as a home-schooling project and continue it at home!
Thanks so much to our guest bloggers Hayley & Evie. If you have family or friends in East Cheshire or Harrogate then be sure to let them know about the East Cheshire Mumbler and Harrogate Mumbler websites.
