As part of the Heritage Open Days program, take a tour of the National Trust site Souter Lighthouse and learn about life as a lighthouse keeper and about the ‘village that vanished.’ Visit the engine room and hear the engines power up the foghorn, which will be blasting throughout the day to signal sporting activities in the foghorn field – from basketball to badminton to archery. Climb the 76 steps to the top of the tower and enjoy spectacular views. Last entry 3.30pm.
