Woodland Trust Talk, Land of Oak & Iron

June 7, 2022 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

£12.50

Join us for this fascinating and important talk by David Taylor-Gooby from the Woodland Trust on the challenges of global warming and why trees are important as part of the response to this.

Find out why the UK does not have as many trees as other comparable countries, for example, there are many areas where woods have disappeared. David will explain why this is important and a threat to biodiversity, as well as climate change, along with the dangers of greenwashing and why it’s imperative to care and look after our nation’s trees.

You can also find out what we can all do ourselves and why organisations like the Woodland Trust have an important lobbying role. There will be an opportunity to ask questions at the end of the talk.

👉 £12.50 pp (including glass of wine and nibbles). Booking essential.
